Universal Banker - Fort Lee, NJ
Job Description:
- Meets with customers and prospects and develops understanding of other financial objectives and needs. Assesses customer information and suggests appropriate product and service solutions. Sells customers on value and benefits of suggested alternatives and closes sales.
- Maintains strong product and sales knowledge and champions core service values.
- Provides sound advice at every Customer interaction to create a positive Customer Experience and ensure that the Customer’s financial needs are met.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding specific individual sales goals.
- Provides exceptional Customer service by meeting all Customer demands as they relate to relatively more complex transactions and assisting less experienced personnel.
- Solves problems independently.
- Performs a broad range of tasks of varying complexity and scope.
- Processes Customer transactions face-to-face for a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions including but not limited to check cashing, withdrawals, and deposits.
- Responsible to balance cash drawers and assists Customers with basic product information
- Responsibility to assist in exceeding service goals by minimizing Customer wait times and accurately and efficiently processing Customer transactions while providing exceptional Customer Service in addition to recognizing referral opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years in customer service experience is required; cash handling experience preferred
- Retail banking experience a plus
- College degree or military equivalent strongly preferred; High school degree, GED or foreign equivalent required
- Ability to make personal connections, engage customers and always be courteous and professional in a team environment and proactively collaborates with others to help customers
- Strong communication skills; understands how to tailor product and services solutions to customers with differing needs and offer appropriate recommendations
- Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately to meet policy and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work branch hours
- Fluent in Korean a plus
- Fluent in Chinese a plus

Underwriter
Job Description:
- Underwriting commercial real estate, SBA and C& I loans
- Preparation of sensitivity and stress scenarios, and appraisal assessment
- Conduct extensive due diligence, prepare credit committee package, execute transactions and provide ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Participate in special projects for policies and procedures, portfolio analysis, or as assigned by the Chief Credit Officer or underwriting manager.
- Process modifications, renewals and extensions in a timely manner
- Maintain records of approvals including policy exceptions, declines and withdrawals
- Handle a portfolio of loans and analyze & perform annual review (Ad Hoc Basis)
Job Requirements:
- Experience in regulatory reporting and methodologies
- Must have 3+ years of strong underwriting skills in analyzing various asset classes in commercial real estate, SBA and C& I lending.
- Experience with OCC regulators a plus
- This role will report into Fort Lee Office location

Portfolio Analyst
Job Description:
- Monitor existing loans by conducting quarterly and annual reviews including but not limited to financial collection/analysis, site visit and payment (P, I & RE Tax) collection
- Assess credit risk in the loan portfolio and assign proper risk ratings, Propose and support downgrades or upgrade
- Preparation of sensitivity and stress test, and appraisal assessment
- Create ad hoc reports, prepare impairment analysis, formulate and document action plans
Job Requirements:
- Must have prior community banking credit experiences (3+ years) as a portfolio analyst handling a loan portfolio consisting of CRE, C& I and/or SBA loans
- Experience in handling litigations associated with special assets a plus.
- This role will report into Fort Lee Office location
